Butterfly Amber Peyote Pendant
Butterfly Amber Peyote Pendant
This hand made sterling silver pendant is inspired by the culture of the Aztec people. It honors the medicine of the butterfly, known to the Aztecs as Papoplotl, and is embedded with a carved amber peyote and peridot stone.
Papalotl, the Aztec butterfly, is a symbol of personal change and transformation. These beautiful insects also symbolized the flickering firelight and were often associated with the sun and the stars.
Peyote is a word that comes from the Nahuatl language and translates to "shiny heart". It is a cactus that is sacred to various tribes in the Americas and used to commune with the Great Spirit, to empower the people, and to heal all types of spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical ailments.
This pendant is intricately crafted by an artisan based in Mexico in collaboration with Anahuac Arts.
